Kyle Schwarber blasted a three run homer to set the tone and propel the Chicago Cubs to an 8-2 win Monday night at Wrigley Field over the Cincinnati Reds. Nicholas Castellanos added a three run double as they won the first game of the three game series. The win drew the Cubs to within 1/2 game of the Washington Nationals for the top NL wild card. They remain two games behind St Louis for the NL Central Division lead. Alec Mills picked up his first major league win in relief. Anthony Rizzo was diagnosed with a moderate lateral right ankle sprain after an MRI and will wear a walking boot for five to seven days.
