The Bi-State Authority Board of Directors met at the Mid-American Air Center northeast of Lawrenceville Tuesday evening. Airport manager Kurt Schwartz reported that the airport would be seeking funding for a major project at the upcoming Transportation Improvement Proposal (TIP) meeting in Springfield on October 31st. The OHLS system project will cost around $300,000 to complete and is necessary to the airport. Schwartz also reported on recent electrical storm damage done at the airport. That storm damaged taxiway circuits and building meters.
