Two people were killed over the weekend in a residential fire in rural Wabash County. According to the coroners office the blaze broke out around 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the home near Friendsville. 79 year old John Carwile and his daughter 55 year old Sondra Burton were pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsies for both were scheduled for Monday to determine the exact causes of death. The fire remains under investigation by the Illinois State Fire Marshall, Illinois State Police CSI, the Wabash County Coroners Office, and the Wabash County Sheriffs Department.
