Christian Yelich blasted his 44th homer of the season in a four run third inning to keep the Milwaukee Brewers playoff hopes alive with a 7-1 win Friday night over the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park. Zach Davies limited the Cubs to 1 run and 3 hits over 5 innings to pick up the win. Nicholas Castellanos  provided the only Cub run with a solo homer in the top of the third. With the loss, the Cubs lead the Brewers by 4 games for the second NL wild card and remain 2 1/2 games behind the St Louis Cardinals for the NL Central lead. Game three of the four game series is Saturday night with Yu Darvish (5-6) going for the Cubs and Gio Gonzalez (2-2) for the Brewers. The game can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame show at 5:35 p.m. Central Time 6:35 Eastern.
