The first of Lawrence County’s fall community celebrations is underway. The annual Sumner Fall Festival began its three day run Thursday. The activities were highlighted by the Royal Family Coronation. Selected as the Festival King was Silas Parrott and Kamryn Young the Festival Queen. The Festival Prince is Easton York and the Princess Kylie Davis. They will rule over the remainder of the affair which continues Friday and Saturday. Fridays highlights include the 7th annual Cruise In Car Show with registration at 4:30 p.m. with judging at 7 p.m. The Little Miss and Mister Sumner Fall Festival contest is at 5 p.m. with the Ash Band in concert from 7 till 10 p.m.
