109th District State Represenative Darren Bailey has announced that public comment is now being accepted on the newly proposed rules for gun safety issued by the Illinois State Police. The rules were filed late last week and now there is a 45 day period for citizens to express their opinions. The rules are available online at the Illinois Secretary of State web site. Interested individuals can submit their comments, views, or arguments in writing to Matthew Rentschler Chief Legal Counsel of the Illinois State Police 801 South 7th Street, Suite 1000-S Springfield Illinois 62703. The rules are not yet final and could be changed prior to action on them by the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules.
