Dignitaries from both Vincennes and Lawrenceville including Mayors Joe Yochum and Don Wagner respectively were part of the ribbon-cutting Friday evening for the new pilot licensing and training program being sponsored by the Mid-American Pilots Association Chapter #114 at the Mid-American Air Center northeast of Lawrenceville. The new program was created to foster and nurture an interest in young and old alike in the world of flying an aircraft and aviation itself. The ribbon cutting served as the unveiling of the new $100,000 Jabiru Plane purchased by the Association for flight training. Activities continue Saturday and Sunday at the airport  including tickets for sale for flights on the vintage Ford Tri-Motor transport airliner from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.
