The Red Hill Unit 10 Board of Education met Thursday and did approve a tenative fiscal year 2020 budget. Superintedent Jakie Walker characterized the budget as being balanced. It will be placed on display for the public at the district office for 30 days. A budget hearing will be held at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday September 26th the date of the next board meeting. Also given approval was a fencing project for the elevated area of the Junior-Senior High School football field. The project cost is approximately $11,800 with the work to be done by Kiefer Brothers of Mt Carmel. The funds will come from the district’s 1% funds. Robby Thompson was hired as the district assistant transportation director and bus mechanic. The position had been open since February.
