The National Weather Service says that hot and humid conditions have returned to the WAKO listening area through Wednesday. High temperatures are forecast to range between 90 to 95 degrees through mid-week. Those combined with high humidity in place will have heat index readings peaking at between 100 to 105 each afternoon. If you plan on being outside during the day avoid heat illnesses by drinking plenty of fluids especially water, take frequent rest breaks, wear light weight and loose fitting clothing if possible, reschedule strenenous activities to the early morning or late evening hours and make sure outdoor pets have shade and an adequate supply of fresh water.
