Good Samaritan Hospital administration, staff, and other dignitaries were on hand Tuesday for the groundbreaking of the Charles C. Hedde Health Education Center. The multi-use facility will be located at Seventh and Nicholas Streets on the hospital campus in Vincennes. The center will seat 200 people and can be divided into different sections for various uses. It’s main purpose is for hospital residency program training but will also be for use by the public. The hospital foundation began raising funds for the Center back in 2017 and have thus far raised around $1.8 million of the $2.5 million goal. Hedde who passed away two years ago was a staunch advocate of the residency training program at Good Samaritan. Construction is expected to begin in October.
