The Bi-State Authority Board of Directors met in regular monthly session Tuesday night at the Mid-America Air Center. Airport manager Kurt Schwartz reported on the estimates to repair the terminal second floor and additional renovations being done. Estimates for the water damage to the second floor is $22,000. He also will make application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Mt Vernon for a rural business development grant to cover the cost of a backup power generator and controlling monitoring systems for the airport water treatment plant. The board also recieved the 1st quarter 2019 status report on the airport Foreign Trade Zone. There was also discussion of the upcoming EAA activities the weekend of August 24th and 25th.
