Knox County native Adam Schenk is in the top 20 in the field after the opening round of the Northern Trust golf tournament in Jersey City New Jersey. The 27 year old South Knox product and Purdue graduate shot 4 under par 67 and was tied for 19th. Troy Merritt led after one round with a course record 9 under 62 by one shot over Dustin Johnson in the tournament which is part of the Fed Ex Cup. Schenk was scheduled to tee off in round 2 Friday at 12 p.m. Eastern time 11 Central.
