The Chicago Cubs finished up their three game series with the San Francisco Giants with a 4-1 win Wednesday afternoon at Oracle Park. Homers by Javier Baez, Kris Bryant, and Albert Almora Jr. powered the Cubs to the victory as they salvaged the final game of the set. Tyler Chatwood made the start after Jon Lester was scratched due to illness and he and the bullpen were solid in the win. Closer Craig Kimbrel did allow two hits in the bottom of the ninth before retiring Brandon Belt on a fly out to pick up his seventh save. The win snapped a three game losing skid for the Cubs who have the day off Thursday. They continue their nine game road trip Friday back in the Midwest when they play NL Central rival Milwaukee in a three game series at Miller Park.
