Jesse Winker raced home with an unearned go-ahead run to cap a two run rally in the top of the 7th inning and lead the Cincinnati Reds to a 6-3 win Monday night over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The game was tied at 3 when two errors by the Cub infield led to the go ahead tally. Kyle Farmer and Michael Lorenzen drove in insurance runs for the Reds in the top of the 8th. Eugenio Suarez and Yasiel Puig along with Curt Casali homered for the Reds. Kyle Schwarber homered and doubled and Jason Heyward had two hits and a RBI for the Cubs who are now 3-7 on the season against the Reds. The Cubs did make a trade after the game sending reliever Mike Montgomery to Kansas City for catcher Martin Maldanado. He will backup Victor Caratini at that position after the Cubs placed All-Star Willson Contreras on the 10 day injured list with a foot injury. Game two of the three game set is Tuesday night with Anthony Desclafani (5-4) on the mound for Cincinnati and Alec Mills (0-0) for the Cubs. You can hear the game on Lite 103 WAKO with the pregame show at 6:30 p.m. Central Time 7:30 Eastern.
