LVILLE CITY COUNCIL HOLDS REGULAR SESSION

The Lawrenceville City Council met Thursday evening and did approve on second and final reading the annual appropriation ordinance for fiscal year 2019-20 of just over $6 million. Also approved was an amended ordinance regarding the Class “H” liquor licenses recently issued for the sale of warm beer and wine. The amended ordinance specifies that sales will not be allowed after 2 a.m. on Sundays falling in line with the other city licenses. Mayor Don Wagner reported that the city park basketball courts will be resurfaced and revamped in the future at a cost of around $17,000. The mayor also indicated that there will be a city rezoning hearing on Wednesday July 24th regarding the proposed Mach 1 expansion at the corner of 15th and State.
