The St Francisville City Council met Wednesday evening in regular session. It was indicated that the bridge may have to be closed later this month for inspection. It is tenatively set to be closed July 22nd through the 25th from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on those days to allow the city’s engineering     firm of HLR to do the inspection work. The council moved to allow a 12 month extension to make a permit application for the new water well project as the city seeks federal funding for the work. A potential increase to bridge toll prices was sent to the bridge committee for further study and review with a recommendation expected in the future. It was moved that Lawrenceville attorney Mike Neal be retained as the city’s attorney for legal matters. Police Chief Billy Darnell reported that the postponed Civic Improvement Corporation fireworks from the July 4th weekend have been rescheduled for Saturday August 3rd at dusk at River Park in conjunction with a lighted boat parade on the Wabash River.
