The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Wednesday from 10 a.m. Centrail Time until 7 p.m. Central Time for the entire WAKO listening area. Heat index values are expected to reach near 105 due to temperatures in the low to mid 90s and dew points in the mid 70s. This type of heat and humidity could cause heat stress during any outdoor exertion or extended exposure. If you are going to be outdoors drink plenty of fluids especially water, stay out of the direct sun for lengthy periods, wear light and loose fitting clothing, and do not overexert yourself. Also car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in this type heat in a matter of minutes.
