Samuel Bernard Ash, age 87 of Frankfort and formerly of Lawrence County, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Generations at Applewood in Matteson. He was born January 18, 1932 in Lawrence County to William Vernie Ash and his wife Bessie (Eaton) Ash.
Sam was a hard worker with a giving heart. He had worked as a foreman in a machine shop.
Surviving family includes: five children- David Michael Ash of Olney, Dennis Keith Ash and Diane of Frankfort, Samuel Barry Ash of Tinley Park, Ronnie McDonald and her husband Christopher of Lawrenceville, and Margo Ash of Lawrenceville: one sister- Virginia Evans of Bridgeport: eleven grandchildren: and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous siblings.
A graveside service will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Bridgeport City Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport from 11:00 a.m. until service time 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
