Janine Anderson has signed with the Vincennes University womens track and field program. She was the top discus thrower at Vincennes Rivet High School and won the Blue Chip Conference discus title. She also competed in the shot put. At VU, Anderson will focus on the discus and hammer throw. The VU men’s track and field program has announced that a local product has signed with the team. Chase Knoblett competed in the hurdles for Palestine High School in neighboring Crawford County and was one of the top hurdlers in Illinois with personal bests of 14.99 seconds in the 110 meter hurdles and 41.12 seconds in the 300 meter hurdles.
