A Loogootee man is believed to have had a medical emergency before crashing his car into a tree Monday night. 58-year-old Donald Ray Harris was later pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports they responded to a call about  a vehicle hitting a tree at a residence at 9186 South 1125 East Loogootee at 8:30 last night.  They say Harris was driving north and for an unknown reason his passenger car left the road and traveled 400 feet and hit a tree.  People on sight administered CPR and continued until Southwest Medical arrived and took him to the hospital in Jasper. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Southwest Medical, Southeast Fire and Dubois County EMS.
