ROCKIES RALLY LATE TO NIP CUBS

Ryan McMahon delivered the go-ahead run with a single in the bottom of the eighth inning Monday night to rally  the Colorado Rockies to a 6-5 win over the Chicago Cubs at Coors Field. The contest was tied at five when former Cub Daniel Murphy doubled and then stole third with one out. McMahon then drove him in with a single to right center off loser Steve Cishek. Anthony Rizzo, Kyle Schwarber, and David Bote all homered for the Cubs but it was not enough. Game two of the three game series is Tuesday night with Peter Lambert (1-0) pitching for the Rockies and Jose Quintana (4-5) for the Cubs.
