A single-vehicle accident occurred in eastern Lawrence County Sunday night. Heather Perry of Bridgeport was driving north on Illinois Route 33 one mile south of US 50 when she had to swerve suddenly to miss an animal on the roadway. Perry’s vehicle went off the road and into an Illinois Department of Transportation road sign. Perry was not injured. Her vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
