Preliminary reports indicate that one person was injured in a single-vehicle accident in eastern Lawrence County. The accident took place on Illinois Route 33 in the Westport area where a vehicle left the roadway and overturned. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency medical personnel from Lawrence and Knox counties. The driver was air-lifted to an Evansville hospital. Authorities have not yet released the driver’s name as their investigation continues.
