A disciplinary complaint was filed against Knox County Prosecutor Dirk Carnahan this week. The complaint alleges Carnahan committed professional misconduct after an incident involving his former Deputy Prosecutor Joseph Burton, a Knox County inmate, and the Vincennes Police Department, stemming from incidents as far back as 2017.  Carnahan allegedly communicated several times with Vincennes Police Chief Dusty Luking after having accusations brought against him.  Executive Director of the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission G. Michael Witte cited the nature of that communication as a cause for the disciplinary complaint.
