LATE PHILLIES HOMER DOES IN CUBS IN EXTRAS

J.T. Realmuto blasted a solo homer in the top of the 10th inning to propel the Philadelphia Phillies to a 5-4 win over the Chicago Cubs in extra innings Monday night at Wrigley Field. The blast made a loser of Cub reliever Kyle Ryan (0-1). Hector Neris (1-1) picked up the win in relief for the Phillies. The game marked the return of former Cub pitcher Jake Arrietta to Wrigley Field. He recieved a standing ovation from the crowd when he batted in the top of the third inning and tipped his helmet. He gave up one run in his appearance. Game two of the series between divisional leaders is Tuesday with Zach Elfin pitching for the Phils and Jose Quintana for the Cubs.
