One person was killed and at least two were injured in an explosion that was likely caused by natural gas early Sunday morning in Jeffersonville. The explosion occurred on at a house on Assembly Road, said the city’s fire chief. In a statement on Facebook, authorities warned that damage was extensive, and that some debris was “elevated” and could fall. At least 15 homes were damaged from the explosion, which totally destroyed the home in which it originated. The city condemned many of the houses.
