BASEBALL INDIANS EDGE SALUKIS IN SHUTOUT BEHIND IVERS

Eli Ivers tossed a four hit shutout over 6 innings Thursday to lead the Lawrenceville Baseball Indians to a 1-0 win over county rival Red Hill in a rain shortened contest at the Tank Farm in Bridgeport. The game was called after the sixth inning. The Indians scored their 1 run on 7 hits and made 1 error while the Salukis were held scoreless on those four hits and made no errors. Connor O’Dell drove in the only run of the game in the top of the fifth and Keegan Meek had 2 of the Indian hits. The win was the second in a row for the Tribe who finish regular season play at 9-12 while the Salukis fall to 4-14 to close the season. Both teams enter into regional play next week.
