CUBS BEATEN BY STREAKING DBACKS IN ARIZONA

Wilmer Flores drove in three runs and Adam Jones added three hits and two RBI to help the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Chicago Cubs 8-3 Friday night in game one of their three game series at Chase Field in Phoenix. The win was a season high fifth in a row for Arizona. Kris Bryant and Javier Baez homered for the Cubs and Albert Almora Jr had four hits but it was not enough for a win. The hosts jumped on Cub starter and loser Kyle Hendricks (1-4) for three runs in the bottom of the first enroute to the victory. Game two is Saturday night with Yu Darvish (1-3) to pitch for the Cubs against Zach Godley (1-1) for Arizona.
