CUBS BEAT DBACKS FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

The Chicago Cubs are at .500 at 9-9 after Kyle Hendricks pitched them to their fourth straight win 5-1 Friday over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Wrigley Field.  Hendricks was sharp on the afternoon allowing three hits and two walks while striking out 11 over seven shutout innings. Kris Bryant put the Cubs on top for good with a wind-blown two run double with two out in the bottom of the third. Merrill Kelly took the loss for the Dbacks surrendering  three runs on six hits over 3 2/3 innings and walking seven. The loss snapped a four game Arizona winning streak. Game two is Saturday afternoon with Zach Greinke (2-1) going for Arizona and Yu Darvish (1-2) for the Cubs.
