A single-vehicle accident occurred in eastern Lawrence County Thursday night. Lee Meredith of Vincennes was driving west on US 50 at Illinois Route 33 when she swerved suddenly to miss a deer. Meredith lost control and went off the roadway and into the median before striking a culvert. Meredith was not injured. Her vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
