FLORA AND LVILLE TAKE TRACK MEETS IN BRIDGEPORT

In track Monday at Red Hill Junior-Senior High School in Bridgeport the Lawrenceville Lady Indians captured the girls competition with 110 points, the host Lady Salukis were second with 95 points, Flora third with 68, with Oblong fourth and Patoka fifth. The Lady Indians were led by Alexia Petty with wins in the 100 and 200 meters and Maya Wright who won the 400 meters. The Lady Salukis were led by Ophelia Klein with wins in the 1600 and 3200 meters, Katie Moore with wins in the 300 intermediate hurdles and 100 high hurdles, Ryanne Griesmer with a victory in the high jump and Abby Hasewinkle a win in the triple jump. In the boys meet Flora had 96 points to edge host Red Hill with 94, the Lawrenceville Indians were third with 65 points with Oblong fourth and Patoka fifth. For the Salukis Blaine Hesler won the 800 meters, Drew Moore the 100 meters, Drew Gognat the shot put and Cade Bensen the discus. For the Indians Cole Sumner won the 200 meters and James Burk was a double winner in the 300 intermediate hurdles and the 110 high hurdles.
