Todd J. LaBounty, age 60, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was born August 6, 1958 in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of James A. and Wanda (Rogers) LaBounty. He married Sally Harness in September of 1977 and she survives.
Todd worked at Snap-On Tools, the Vincennes Sun Commercial, and most recently at the Walmart Distribution Center. He enjoyed cooking, barbecuing, spending time with his African parrot, Cairo, and walking his dog, Moses. He was an avid chess player and Illinois sports fan. Spending time with his beloved grandchildren was what he enjoyed most of all.
Preceding him in death was his father, James; sister in law, Tracy Harness; mother-in-law, Alice Harness; and nephew, Thadd Parrott.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; mother, Wanda of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one son, Jesse LaBounty of Portland, Oregon; one daughter, Anna Kim and husband, Robert, of Green Bay Wisconsin; one brother, Scott LaBounty and wife, Carol, of Orange, California; father-in-law, Don Harness of Lawrenceville, Illinois; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marcia and Larry Pratt, of Lester, Alabama; two grandchildren, Lucy Kim and Grace Kim; and nieces and nephews, Robert LaBounty, Stacia LaBounty, Laurel LaBounty, and Tyler Parrott.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society.
