LADY SOFTBALL INDIANS PICK UP WIN IN INDIANA

The Lawrenceville Lady Softball Indians won their second game in a row Wednesday. They went to South Knox Indiana High School and won over the Lady Spartans 10-7. The Lady Indians scored 10 runs on 8 hits and made 1 error while South Knox scored 7 runs on 6 hits and committed 4 errors. Katelyn Higginbotham and Chaylee Shick each had 2 hits while Shick, Maize Organ, and Abby Gartner each drove in 2 runs. Melody Lockhart pitched 5 innings to pick up the win with relief help from Gartner. The Lady Indians improve to 3-5 and will be at Phil Alsman Field Thursday to host the Red Hill Lady Salukis in a Lawrence County softball battle.
