The Vincennes City Council met in regular session Monday night. The City Council approved a proposed boundary modification of the city’s Urban Enterprise Zone. The expanded zone would include areas around both Good Samaritan Hospital and Vincennes University. The council also discussed the safety of Franklin Elementary students coming into the Washington Christian Center along Washington Avenue. The Franklin Elementary students are being displaced due to the school’s renovation scheduled for the coming school year. City officials said they will consider increased safety measures in the months leading up to the coming school year.
