Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that a Lawrenceville woman was sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court last week. 23 year-old Alexandria M. Swatsley-Vernon of Lawrenceville was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. That will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Swatsley-Vernon is also required to pay a $500 drug assessment as well as court costs.
