CUBS WIN SEASON OPENER AT TEXAS BEHIND BAEZ

Javier Baez homered twice and drove in four runs while Kris Bryant added a two run shot as the Chicago Cubs blasted the Texas Rangers 12-4 in their season opener Thursday at Texas. The offense backed up the solid pitching of Jon Lester who went six innings for the win. The Cubs have the day off Friday and will resume the three game series Saturday night.
