INDIAN WALKS COSTLY IN HOME OPENER LOSS

It was another tough loss early in the season Tuesday for the Lawrenceville Baseball Indians in their home opener Tuesday against Marshall at Unit 20 Ballpark. Walks during a 6 run top of the 6th inning erased a 3-2 Indian lead and led to a 9-3 Lion win. Marshall scored 9 runs on 5 hits and made 3 errors while the Tribe had 3 runs on 5 hits and committed 2 errors. Connor O’Dell took the loss in relief while Christain Beamon had two hits for the Indians. Ethan Kelly drove in two of the Indian runs and Cale Powell the other. The loss drops the squad to 0-2. The scheduled game Wednesday with Oblong was rained out.
