19 year-old Madison Heiden of Vincennes was crowned the Illiana Watermelon Queen over the weekend. Heiden will represent Illiana Watermelon Growers over the next year at community events, educational appearances, and commercial opportunities promoting watermelons from Indiana and Illinois. 18 year-old Grace Rainey of Evansvile was first runner-up, while Tali Boyles of Bruceville was second runner-up. Heiden, a Freshman at Vincennes University, will compete in the National Watermelon Contest in 2020.
