Three People Sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court

   Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that three people were sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court this week. 27 year-old Joshua J. Bottoms of Vincennes was re-sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine precursors.  Bottoms had previously been placed on two years of felony probation; but admitted to violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for probation and court appointments. Bottoms’ prison sentence will be followed by two years of mandatory supervised release. Bottoms is also required to pay fines as well as court costs.

   54 year-old Mark D. Gosnell of Lawrenceville was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful violation of an order of protection. That will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Gosnell is also required to pay court costs.

   44 year-old Angela J. Shoulders of Vincennes was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of escape when she didn’t return from furlough. That will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Shoulders is also required to pay court costs.
