Two Sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court

   Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that two people sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court this week. 26 year-old Courtney D. Malone of Lawrenceville was sentenced to 40 months in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. That will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Malone is also required to pay a $500 drug assessment as well as court costs.

   46 year-old Ralph D. Hodges Jr. of Vincennes was re-sentenced to two-and-a-half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.  Hodges had previously been placed on two years of felony probation; but admitted to violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for probation appointments. Hodges’ prison sentence will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Hodges is also required to pay fines as well as court costs.
