25-year-old Ashley Sanders was sentenced to 24 years Wednesday in connection with a crash which left two men dead last September. Sanders pleaded guilty earlier this month to causing death with a vehicle while intoxicated and driving too fast for conditions. 24 years is the maximum sentence allowed. Indiana State Police say Sanders was driving on Old US 41 last September when she didn’t see the vehicle in front of her stop. 19-year-old Trevor Watt of Princeton and 20-year-old James Gasaway of Haubstadt both died in the crash. State Police said Sanders’ blood-alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.
