REIDER NAMED NEW INDIAN HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

Travis Reider of Oblong has been selected as the new Lawrenceville Indian head football coach. The Unit 20 Board of Education meeting Wednesday night voted to hire him as the head man of the program and also as a P.E. teacher at LHS. Reider was head coach of the Oblong Panthers from 2011 through 2017 and was 23-33 during that period. His Panther teams made two playoff appearances during that time in 2012 and 2016 the only playoff appearances in school history. He stepped down as football  head coach after 2017 for family reasons but remained on staff as boys and girls track and field coach. Reider replaces Chad Green who was named as interim head coach last season after the resignation of Greg Wood during the summer.
