INDIANS DOWN HUTSONVILLE FOR 2ND WIN IN ROW

The Lawrenceville Basketball Indians used a big offensive second quarter to take control of the game Wednesday night and downed the Hutsonville Tigers 68-45 at Hutsonville. The hosts lead 14-11 after one quarter of play but the Tribe outscored them 26-10 in the second to gain control of the game at the half 37-24. The lead was extended to 53-35 after three quarters enroute to the win. The Indians placed three in double digits on the night led by Cale Powell off the bench with 15 points, Jordan Jones added 13 and R.J. Nelms 11. The Indians won the JV game handily 57-27 with Skyler Tewell scoring 13 and Logan Williams 10. The Indians improve to 7-8 with their second win in a row. Hutsonville drops to 6-10. The Indians return to Little Illini Conference play next Tuesday when they travel to Marshall.
