A former Vincennes Lincoln student is scheduled to appear in court today to be sentenced for attacking a teacher. Donovan Davis changed his plea to guilty in August in the attack. Davis admitted in court to a felony charge of aggravated battery resulting in bodily injury. He admitted to kicking Cheryl Clemens in the face and hitting her with a chair four times. Davis apologized directly to the teacher’s family in court. He has been under home monitoring since the attack and the defense says his good behavior shows that Davis has served his time. The prosecution is asking for six years with the department of corrections and three additional years of home detention.
