One Killed in Vincennes Police Chase

   The driver of a vehicle that fled police in Vincennes died after crashing the car. Vincennes Police report, that at 4pm Wednesday an officer saw a vehicle believed to have been involved in a felony earlier in the day.  The officer attempted a traffic stop at 7th and Busseron.  The suspect vehicle fled from the police car. Vincennes Police Chief Dusty Luking says a passenger in the car tried to exit several times during the chase and finally did so at 6th and Willow and was taken into custody.  However, the car continued south on 6th Street Road and managed to gain some distance from the officers chasing him.  That’s when police saw the car pass the area of Bandmill Road and South 6th , leave the roadway and crash, coming to rest in a creek near a bridge.  The driver was ejected.  Vincennes and state police found him, and provided immediate medical attention until EMS services arrived and took over. The injured man was taken to Good Sam in Vincennes and pronounced dead there.  A name has not been released. The investigation is continuing.
