Southeastern Illinois Counseling Centers Closing

   Southeastern Illinois Counseling Centers, Incorporated has announced they are closing their offices. There are offices in Lawrence, Richland, Crawford, Wayne and Clay counties.Executive Director Glenn Jackson says the counseling center was behind in payroll and deep in debt so they are filing for bankruptcy under Chapter 7. Clients found a note Wednesday on the door of the Lawrenceville office at 1501 Olive Streeet, saying the center was permanently closed. Termination notices went out Wednesday to 30 employees. The center handled an array of professional and behavioral health care services like DUI, case management, early childhood and clinical services.
