Storm Washburn ran for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns and the Casey Warriors took advantage of three early Indian turnovers in the first half to hand the Tribe their 6th straight loss 49-18 in Little Illini Conference play Friday night at Sinclair-Vidoni Field in Casey on Homecoming. Those early turnovers-2 fumbles and an interception enabled Casey to lead 21-6 after one quarter. They extended the lead to 28-6 at the half and to 42-12 after three quarters. But to their credit, the Indians had their best offensive game of the year as they amassed 340 yards in total offense. Most of that yardage came on the ground with 237 yards rushing led by running back Christian Beamon who had 11 carries for 107 yards and 2 touchdown runs of 5 and 21 yards. Back Dayman Parkman also contributed with 9 carries for 87 yards. Indian quarterback Brenyn Winningham ran for a 7 yard TD in the first quarter. With the loss, the Indians fall to 0-6 while Casey improves to 3-3. The Indians are back home next Saturday when they host Robinson for Homecoming.
