Jones Sentenced for June 2017 Shooting Death

   A sentence was handed down in Daviess Superior Court Monday in the case against 55-year-old Mark J. Jones. In June of this year, Jones pleaded guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter in the shooting death of David Duncan.  The two argued in June of 2017 at Jones’ home south of GPC and Duncan was shot and killed. Jones was sentenced to 25 years in prison with 5 years suspended.  He received credit for 479 days served and given 159 days of credit time.  He is eligible for a sentence modification in 4 years.
