Both the Lawrenceville-Red Hill boys and girls cross country teams won the Lawrenceville Invitational meet Saturday at the City Park course. The girls won with 15 points followed by Fairfield with 58 and Altamont with 70. Lady Indian runners took the top six spots in the competition led by Katie Moore who won the race in 21:23.59. Ophelia Klein was second at 21:28.66, Kyanne Waggoner third at 21:35.15, Maya Wright fourth at 21:48.44, Becky Wagner fifth at 21:48.96 and Shaina Hyre was sixth at 22:20.22. Emily Hyre was also a top ten finisher at eighth in 22:39.47. In the boys race, the Indians captured first with 26 points followed by Fairfield with 72, Palestine-Hutsonville with 100 and Dietrich with 102. Indian runners took the top three spots led by Blaine Hesler who won the race in 17:02.15. Brayden Green was second in 17:11.69 and Cole Sumner was third in 17:22.03. Next action for the squad is Thursday in the Robinson Invitational.
