The Lawrenceville High School Sports Hall of Fame has announced the 2018 class of inductees. Going into the hall will be 1969 graduates H.J. Payne and Walter “Butch” Wolfe and 1998 graduate Brandon Lockhart and 2009 graduate Zach Manley. Both Manley and Lockhart were outstanding golfers during high school and Payne and Wolfe were outstanding multi-sport athletes during their years at LTHS. Also going into the Hall will be the 1976 Lawrenceville Indian basketball team coached by Ron Felling which finished third in the IHSA Class A tournament at Champaign with a 29-2 record. Tickets to the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies are now on sale for $10 at Kull Insurance and the Daily Record in downtown Lawrenceville. The induction will be at the LHS Gymnasium beginning with a social hour at 6 p.m. and the ceremonies at 7.
